My request for Mother's Day this year was to have a picnic with FRIED CHICKEN!!!It was something that my Grandma Bert enjoyed doing on Mother's Day and/or her birthday and I thought it would be fun to start the tradition with Lucy.
Greg did the rest of the planning and of course did a wonderful job with food selection and location of the picnic.
We went to the Botanical Gardens just a little ways down the road in Belmont and it is a wonderful place. LOTS of other moms were there too with their families, but we still ended up beating the crowd.
Lucy was more fascinated with all of the gorgeous fountains than the flowers.
It took a lot of energy to keep her out of the water!!!
