Fun in the Sun!!

We headed to Kiawah Island for Memorial Day week with our friends Wesley and Everett (and their parents, of course) and had the BEST time.

We had good food, good weather, and (pretty) good kids.

Here is Lucy working on one of many attempts at a grand sand castle. We never did get to finish one, but we sure put forth the effort.

Everett accidentally got sand on Lucy's back and we caught him wiping it off, ever so gently-- what a gentleman!!

Snack break--
and, no, those houses behind them were not one of ours-- too bad, huh.

Lucy is a little fish and LOVES the water.

We would catch her doing this often and requesting to "go to the deep." The more waves that splashed in her face the better. And she only liked going with her Daddy because he would throw her in the air like a flying fish.

But she was also happy just leisurely floating in the shallow water with smaller waves.

I actually preferred this!!!
